Resizing for avatar

How do I resize a photo on my computer to use as an avatar?
Im really not good with computers and cant work it out

I'm not sure you have to. When you go into avatar settings adjust the sizes to 100 x 100 hopefully that will work. Can't promise though I'm not good with these things either.

I choose my picture and click submit but it comes up with this....
The avatar’s filesize must be between 0 and 12 KiB
So I expect its that the picture is too big in filesize Thanks anyway
