Thank-you for your good wishes everyone
Sam, how clever of you to attach the photo too!
The usual abolutions have been just slightly stepped up in preparation...
Lottie is very tolerant of the teeth brushing, grooming and general sneaking of all things healthy for dogs in her bowl (not all of which she likes!) BUT she certainly has enjoyed a few extra raw bones recently
Just to add a little drama.......
Last week I noticed a slightly sore patch under her right lower lip, and so started applying some of the magic healing cream that has proved excellent for many skin conditions. Then on Saturday it suddenly looked worse and also again suddenly she was diving down and gnawing under the base of her tail and it looked really sore, eeek
So off to the vets.
Antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and 3 days on and both ends are looking sooooooo much better phew....
I wasn`t going to even mention this but then thought that possibly another greyhound could start showing similar symptoms, in which case, get your hound to the vets!
There was no definitive reason given for this infection but what we do know is that the licking kept the cycle of infection going.
Follow up appointment on Wednesday pm.....
Jim Dash is a most excellent vet and Lottie`s sore bits really hardly notice now and as she is incredibly shiny with all this buffing and polishing all who behold her are dazzled
